3. Managing the storage cluster¶
Before you create the storage cluster, you need to do the following:
- Configure your node network interfaces, as recommended in the Planning the network. You can also create bond and VLAN interfaces on each node, if required.
- Set up your networks and assign them to network interfaces.
- Configure an external DNS server, as described in Adding external DNS servers.
- Enable high availability of the management node, as described in Enabling high availability.
- Finally, ensure that the storage nodes are shown on the Nodes screen, and then proceed to create the storage cluster.
If you have remote iSCSI devices that you wish to connect to cluster nodes, you can configure them prior to cluster creation, as described in Connecting remote iSCSI devices to storage cluster nodes.
