System requirements
Acronis Cyber Infrastructure works on top of commodity hardware, so you can create a cluster from regular servers, disks, and network cards. Still, to achieve the optimal performance, a number of requirements must be met and a number of recommendations should be followed.
For production, you can run Acronis Cyber Infrastructure on a physical server, or inside a virtual machine to use backup storage in a public cloud. The hardware requirements and recommended number of servers in a cluster depend on the services you will deploy.
If you are unsure of what hardware to choose, contact your sales representative. If you want to avoid the hassle of testing, installing, and configuring hardware and/or software, consider using Acronis Appliance. Out of the box, you will get an enterprise-grade, fault-tolerant, five-node infrastructure solution with great storage performance that runs in a 3U form factor.
