What's new

Platform: Cyber Console

The Cyber Console is a new, AI-powered console that consolidates the management of Acronis services in one place. Partners manage clients, devices, and policies from a single surface, and Acronis AI is available on every page. The console runs alongside the existing consoles. Links in the legacy consoles open the matching Cyber Console section through single sign-on, and the sections that the Cyber Console does not cover yet link back to the legacy console the same way.

Key benefits

  • Centralized console: Manage all Acronis services from one place.
  • Streamlined experience: Simplify daily operations with one consistent interface.
  • Built for automation: Combine console operations with workflows and AI agents.

Supported scenarios

  • Manage your clients from a single list of tenants, with full-text search, per-column filters, saved views, and columns such as pricing mode, status, management mode, and billing mode.
  • Discover and manage devices, and run device actions such as connect, remote desktop, apply plan, run script, restart, patch, and back up now.
  • Review every policy type in one list, and enable, disable, stop, rename, or export policies, one at a time or in bulk.
  • Manage roles and permissions, and configure partner-level settings such as locations, API clients, security, email notifications, agent updates, device discovery, installation links, and credentials.
  • Review and edit your partner organization profile on the My company page.
  • Search for clients, users, assets, tickets, and console pages from the header, with results grouped by entity type.
  • Ask Acronis AI how something works, or let it perform an action on your behalf, from the panel that opens by default and recognizes the page that you are on.
  • Use Cyber Intelligence, Cyber Studio, Service Desk, and the Partner Portal in the same console.
  • Send feedback from any page.

Implementation notes

  • Tenants that have an own or inherited custom brand see the branded color scheme, logo, and custom links in the Cyber Console.
  • Search results respect the role, tenant, and licensing visibility of the signed-in user.

Licensing

  • Available to all Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud partners at no additional cost

Platform: New partner billing model

The partner billing report switches from a last-day snapshot to peak usage over the report period. Cyber Protect Cloud calculates the highest daily production usage, the peak value, separately for each end-customer tenant and each usage metric, and then aggregates these peak values into the monthly billable usage of the partner. Peaks can fall on different days across customers. The usage report format stays unchanged, so existing integrations and partner billing automation continue to work.

Key benefits

  • Billing that reflects real consumption: Bill for the peak usage of each customer during the period, instead of the usage on a single day.

Implementation notes

  • The first invoice that uses the new model covers usage for the entire month of September.
  • Cross-sell is not affected, because per-service trials for end customers are available in the Cyber Console.

Licensing

  • Applies to all Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud partners

Platform: Credit points

Partners receive credit points for month-over-month growth in their consumption of Acronis services. Credits carry a monetary value, and partners redeem them in the Partner Portal for the products that they select.

Key benefits

  • Reward for growth: Receive monthly credits for incremental consumption of Acronis services.
  • Freedom of choice: Apply credits to the services that matter most to your business.

Supported scenarios

  • Review your credit balance in the Partner Portal, and then select the services that you want to apply the credits to.
  • Receive a notification about credits that expire during the next month.

Licensing

  • Available to eligible Acronis partners at no additional cost

Platform: Per-service trials

Partners can now enable an individual offering item in trial mode, for an existing customer tenant or an existing partner tenant. Earlier releases supported the trial mode only at the tenant level, so every offering item that a partner enabled for a production tenant was billed immediately. Customers can now evaluate new functionality in their current environment.

Key benefits

  • Evaluation in the production environment: Let a customer try a service in the environment that they already use, instead of in a temporary tenant.
  • No billing during the trial: Remove or disable the offering item before the trial ends, and incur no charges for the trial period.
  • Trials for partner-level services: Trial the offering items that are registered at the partner level, such as Cyber Frame Local.

Supported scenarios

  • Enable an offering item for a sub-partner or a customer, and then select the trial mode or the production mode.
  • Switch an offering item from the trial mode to the production mode at any time during the trial.
  • Review the operational mode of a service in the console, and in the usage reports.

Implementation notes

  • When the trial period ends, Cyber Protect Cloud switches the offering item to the production mode automatically, unless you remove or disable it.
  • Only authorized Acronis personnel can switch an offering item from the production mode back to the trial mode.

Licensing

  • Available to all Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud partners at no additional cost

Platform: Cyber Intelligence (early access)

Cyber Intelligence is part of the Cyber Console, where it consolidates monitoring and reports into one area. Partners can create several dashboards, start from a template or from a blank dashboard, and generate dashboards and reports from a natural language prompt. The legacy dashboards and reports remain available as read-only, and partners can export them into the new engine.

Key benefits

  • Early access to modern analytics: Use the new analytics engine before general availability.
  • One analytics area: Review monitoring and reporting data in a single place.
  • Smooth transition: Move from the legacy dashboards to the new engine at your own pace.

Supported scenarios

  • Create several dashboards per partner, each shown as a tab.
  • Create a dashboard from the catalog, either blank or based on a template.
  • Build custom operational dashboards for each team.
  • Export a legacy dashboard or report, and then import it into the new engine.

Implementation notes

  • This release is an early access program.
  • The legacy dashboards and reports are read-only.

Licensing

  • Available to partners who join the early access program

Platform: Cyber Studio - Automated alert diagnosis and remediation (early access)

Cyber Studio is part of the Cyber Console. It brings pre-built AI agents into Acronis workflows, so that common alert types are diagnosed and remediated automatically. Partners enable the diagnosis and remediation workflow with one setting, and then review every agent action in the workflow and agent execution history.

Key benefits

  • Lower technician workload: Save time through the automated diagnosis and remediation of common alert types.
  • One setting to start: Enable the AI diagnosis and remediation workflows with a single setting.
  • Full audit trail: Review and audit agent actions through the workflow and agent execution history.

Supported scenarios

  • Follow the onboarding flow, and then enable the diagnosis and remediation workflow. Eligible alerts are processed automatically, and AI agents run safe remote commands on the device to diagnose and remediate the issue, or hand it off to a technician.
  • Manage the alert-to-ticket and alert suppression workflows for all alert types.
  • Review the available Studio agents and workflow templates.

Implementation notes

  • This release is an early access program.

Licensing

  • Available to partners who join the early access program for Service Desk

Backup: Anti-ransomware warranty

The anti-ransomware warranty is a recovery insurance program for partners. Acronis evaluates every recovery point against a set of prerequisites, and a recovery point that satisfies them is covered by the warranty. When a covered recovery point cannot be recovered, the warranty covers reimbursement of up to $1 million. No configuration is required, because the warranty is enabled by default for everyone who complies with the prerequisites.

Key benefits

  • More confidence in recoverability: Rely on a documented warranty for the data that you protect.
  • Reimbursement of up to $1 million: Receive a payout when a covered recovery point cannot be recovered.

Supported scenarios

  • The warranty applies to endpoints only, and to disk, volume, and file archives.
  • The warranty applies to a recovery point that meets all of the following conditions: the archive is stored in Acronis-hosted cloud storage, two-factor authentication is enabled, immutable storage with Compliance mode is enabled, and the backup is validated by checksum, by screenshot validation, or by heartbeat.

Licensing

  • Available to all Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud partners at no additional cost

Backup: Change the archive encryption password for agentless virtual machines

Partners can now change the encryption password of archives that contain agentless virtual machines. Use this operation to implement an encryption key rotation policy, or to meet a policy that requires periodic password rotation.

Key benefits

  • Key rotation policies: Implement encryption key rotation for your customers.
  • Policy compliance: Meet the policies that require periodic password rotation.
  • Wider coverage: Change the password for agentless virtual machines, in addition to the workloads that run an agent.

Supported scenarios

  • Change the encryption password of an archive that contains agentless virtual machine backups.

Implementation notes

  • You can change the password again only after every protected machine has at least two successful backups that use the new password.

Licensing

  • Solution-based: Backup and Disaster Recovery, Ultimate Protection
  • Service-based (per-workload, per-gigabyte): Standard Protection

Backup: Back up new files in selected folders

When you select a folder for backup and then exclude individual files or folders from it, the backup includes only the items that remain selected. Items that appear in that folder later were not backed up. Partners can now define, for each selected folder, whether the backup includes the items that are created in it after the selection.

Key benefits

  • No protection gaps: Protect newly added files in the selected folders, even when the user excludes some files or folders.
  • No surprises: Remove the gaps that appear when partners exclude individual files.
  • Clear control: Define explicitly how new files are handled.

Supported scenarios

  • Select the per-folder option that includes or skips new files.
  • Apply the option to selected file and folder backups.

Licensing

  • Solution-based: Backup and Disaster Recovery, Ultimate Protection
  • Service-based (per-workload, per-gigabyte): Standard Protection

Backup: Agentless backup and recovery for Nutanix AOS 7.3 and 7.5

Partners and customers can now protect virtual machines that run on Nutanix AOS 7.3 and 7.5 through agentless backup and recovery. The agentless solution uses the Nutanix v4 API, which replaces the v2 and v3 APIs that Nutanix deprecates by the end of 2026.

Key benefits

  • Support for the latest Nutanix releases: Protect virtual machines on all Nutanix AHV versions that Nutanix AOS 7.3 and 7.5 support.

Supported scenarios

  • Service-based (per-workload, per-gigabyte): Standard Protection > Microsoft 365 seats

Backup: More reliable append-only backup to NAS

Archive corruption on a NAS device is difficult to diagnose, because the hardware is often the root cause. Cyber Protect Cloud now switches backups that target a network folder to a custom scheme that combines a full backup schedule with an incremental backup schedule. Cleanup removes entire backup chains only. The archive corruption error message now advises you to switch to this scheme.

Key benefits

  • Better product reliability: Reduce the risk of archive corruption on NAS devices.

Supported scenarios

  • NAS backups switch automatically to the full plus incremental scheme.
  • The error message advises you to switch to the safer scheme.

Implementation notes

  • Cleanup removes entire backup chains only.

Licensing

  • Solution-based: Backup and Disaster Recovery, Ultimate Protection
  • Service-based (per-workload, per-gigabyte): Standard Protection

Backup: Faster NAS file-level backup

Incremental backups of NAS shares now complete faster, depending on the number of changed files. The Cyber Protection agent reads the file list of each folder together with the modification time of every file, instead of scanning every file separately.

Key benefits

  • Faster incremental backups: Complete the incremental backups of NAS shares faster.
  • Lower NAS load: Reduce the load on the NAS device during backups.

Supported scenarios

  • Read the folder file lists with the modification times.
  • Detect the changes without scanning every file.
  • Run fewer operations per incremental run.

Licensing

  • Solution-based: Backup and Disaster Recovery, Ultimate Protection
  • Service-based (per-workload, per-gigabyte): Standard Protection

Cyber Frame: Migration from VMware to Cyber Frame Local

Partners can now move VMware workloads to Cyber Frame Local through a guided, automated flow. Data moves directly from VMware to Cyber Frame through incremental replication, without an intermediate backup and recovery step, and the virtual machines keep running throughout. Only the delta moves at cutover, and the virtual machines start automatically in Cyber Frame.

Key benefits

  • No manual rebuilding: Remove the manual, error-prone effort of a VMware migration.
  • Minimal downtime: Cut over quickly, because only the delta moves.
  • Clear visibility: Track the progress of the migration in real time.

Supported scenarios

  • Migrate a single workload or many workloads in parallel, through the same guided flow.
  • Move VMware workloads while the virtual machines keep running.
  • Track the progress in the console, and let the virtual machines start automatically after the cutover.

Implementation notes

  • The network configuration, the storage, and the IP and MAC addresses transfer with the virtual machine.

Licensing

  • Available to Cyber Frame Local partners

Cyber Frame: Certified hardware provided by Sourcecode (US)

Partners that build a Cyber Frame Local cluster from scratch can now use certified hardware providers. Acronis maintains a list of the vendors that are certified to run Cyber Frame Local, and Sourcecode is the first certified vendor. Each platform is assembled, integrated, and validated before delivery.

Key benefits

  • Faster deployment: Deploy pre-validated hardware configurations that are aligned to the Acronis stack, without hardware selection and compatibility risk.
  • Right-size now, scale later: Select from three hardware tiers that cover deployments from SMB to enterprise, and then add nodes to the same cluster as the demand grows, with no replatforming or migration.

Supported scenarios

  • Build a Cyber Frame Local cluster on certified hardware.
  • Add nodes to the cluster to grow with the demand.

Licensing

  • Available to Cyber Frame Local partners

Cyber Frame: Custom images in Cyber Frame Cloud

Cyber Frame customers can now upload their own licensed virtual machine images, such as firewall appliances, in the embedded console. The Add image action was previously available only in the stand-alone self-service console. Uploaded images become available for virtual machine deployment alongside the standard Cyber Frame images.

Key benefits

  • Your own licensed images: Upload the licensed images that your customers already own.
  • Consistent experience: Work directly inside the embedded console.
  • Feature parity: Close the gap with the stand-alone self-service console.

Cyber Frame: Enhanced east-west throughput (1 GB/s)

Cyber Frame Cloud raises the default egress network QoS limit of each virtual network adapter from 200 MB/s to 1 GB/s, with a short-term burst of an additional 50 percent. The new limit applies to existing and to new virtual machines, and removes a throughput bottleneck for high-performance workloads that need sustained bandwidth between virtual machines.

Key benefits

  • No throughput bottleneck: Run high-performance workloads that need sustained bandwidth between virtual machines.
  • Higher default limit: Receive an egress QoS limit of 1 GB/s per virtual network adapter, with a 50 percent burst.

Supported scenarios

  • Run performance workloads that need sustained bandwidth between virtual machines.

Implementation notes

  • The new limit applies to existing and to new virtual machines.

Licensing

  • Available to Cyber Frame Cloud partners

RMM: Manage and enforce BitLocker drive encryption

Partners can now manage full disk encryption of Windows workloads from the Acronis console. A remote management plan defines the encryption method and the drive scope, and compatible Windows devices encrypt silently through TPM, with no user interaction. Cyber Protect Cloud escrows the recovery keys to the Credential Store, and the agent re-checks the BitLocker state periodically.

Key benefits

  • Protection for lost and stolen devices: Protect customer data on lost or stolen Windows devices, and eliminate the most common data-breach vector for distributed workforces.
  • Less management overhead: Reduce encryption management to a single policy toggle, and free up technician time.
  • Faster lockout resolution: Accelerate lockout resolution, instead of searching for the recovery key.
  • Compliance: Meet the encryption requirements of GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and cyber insurance policies.

Supported scenarios

  • Enable BitLocker in the remote management plan, and let all compatible Windows devices encrypt silently through TPM, with zero user interaction.
  • Monitor the encryption rollout from the Devices grid, and open the per-device details for the drive status.
  • Retrieve a recovery key for a locked-out user directly from the device details panel.
  • Suspend BitLocker during maintenance operations, when necessary.

Implementation notes

  • The policy defines the encryption method and the drive scope.
  • Recovery key escrow to the Credential Store includes retrieval that is gated by two-factor authentication, and per-key audit logging.
  • A dedicated BitLocker device action panel shows per-drive cards, the encryption progress, and inline access to the recovery key.

Licensing

  • Included at no additional cost, also for customer-level Managed Detection and Response

Security: Visibility into automatic response actions on endpoints

EDR now records the response actions that Acronis antimalware protection performs automatically on an endpoint. The Incident Activities tab lists these actions, together with the resulting investigation state and threat status changes. Previously, incidents that antimalware protection mitigated and closed without an administrator action showed no activities at all. Partners can now confirm what an endpoint did on its own, without examining agent logs.

Key benefits

  • Complete incident history: Review automatic and manual response actions in a single activity list.
  • Clear mitigation trail: See how an automatically mitigated incident reached its final state.

Supported scenarios

  • View the actions that an endpoint performed automatically, such as quarantining a file, or stopping and deleting a process.
  • Review investigation state changes, for example from Open to Closed, in the incident activity list.
  • Review threat status changes, for example from Not mitigated to Mitigated.

Implementation notes

  • Supported operating system: Windows

Partner Portal: Partner Voice roadmap voting

Partner Voice lets partners shape the Acronis roadmap. The Product Team publishes a curated list of candidate themes, and every eligible partner user receives a budget of points that is based on their partner tier and level. Partners spend those points on the themes that matter most to their business, and can suggest new themes. A Roadmap Updates view closes the loop.

Key benefits

  • A direct feature request channel: Tell Acronis what to build next.
  • Feedback that drives real product outcomes: See how the votes translated into roadmap decisions.
  • Revenue-aligned influence: Receive a point budget that matches your partner tier and level.

Supported scenarios

  • Vote on the themes that matter most to your business, and spend your points across one or more of them.
  • Suggest a new theme for consideration.
  • Track which suggestions were delivered, in the Roadmap Updates view.

Implementation notes

  • Only the Partner Admin and the Sales and Marketing portal roles can access Partner Voice and vote. The Basic role has no access.

Integrations: Device sync in PSA integrations

The PSA integrations for ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA, and Kaseya BMS now map the device assets of each mapped customer to the matching entries in Acronis. Ticket bodies include a direct link to the device in the Acronis console, and the device ticket histories in the PSA list the related Acronis tickets automatically. The Autotask PSA integration received this support earlier this quarter.

Key benefits

  • Accurate device history: PSA device history now includes the tickets that the Acronis integration raises, which improves device history and activity reporting accuracy.
  • Faster navigation: Technicians can jump straight from a PSA ticket to the related PSA device record, and to the asset in the Acronis console.

Supported scenarios

  • Convert an Acronis alert to a ticket in ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA, or Kaseya BMS, and let the integration link the ticket to the matching device.
  • Open the device in the Acronis console from the ticket body.
  • Review the Acronis tickets that the integration created, in the device history of the PSA.

Licensing

  • Available to all partners

Integrations: Solution-based licensing in RMM integrations

Partners can now select the Solution-based (per workload) billing option in the RMM integrations that provision customers. New customer tenants that are created in a supported RMM are provisioned with solution-based licensing automatically. Existing integration configurations remain unchanged.

Key benefits

  • Automatic provisioning: Provision new customer tenants with solution-based licensing simply by creating a new customer in a supported RMM.

Supported scenarios

  • Set the Solution-based (per workload) billing option to enable Security and RMM, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Ultimate Protection, MDR, and SAT automatically for new tenants.
